Senior Manager, Business Development

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in overseeing the development and implementation of effective business and marketing plans/strategies.
  • To assist in strategizing and promoting guarantee schemes effectively to the public and business partners in order to help the Corporation achieve annual loan targets while establishing, expanding and maintaining business avenues.
  • Establish and maintain business rapport with FIs and business contacts to facilitate marketing efforts in search of business opportunities.
  • Constantly review and improve on performance monitoring of both the partner FIs and staffs to ensure that progress is in line with objectives and targets set
  • To assist in overseeing the marketing program and activities to increase the participation of SMEs, including Bumiputera entrepreneurs in CGC products.
  • To monitor and coordinate product management, development and implementation in a timely fashion.
  • Lead the development of the client management model and support processes in support of the CGC's strategic plans and business initiatives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of CGC's annual business plan, with particular focus on business development functions.
  • Monitor implementation of marketing plans and products and propose amendments, to meet changing market conditions and needs of customers and clients.
  • Achieve given sales target and goals as well as prepare and present reports & proposals and sales

Requirements:

  • Must have strong knowledge in banking or credit.
  • Minimum a Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in marketing, business or product development with at least 5 years in a supervisory position/capacity in banking preferably in business banking.
  • Strategic and creative thinker, team player and people motivator with strong people skills, good leader with a stable and mature mindset.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills, ability to work in a high pressure environment and manage priorities effectively, effective at negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Possess good presentation skills and strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, especially in English.
  • Enjoys business networking and is able to relate to people of all levels.
  • Proactive and result oriented with outstanding past records in marketing or sales.
